Teachers stay available and flexible, to
better suit students' needs. You might find them out playing ball, helping
with homework and projects, or talking over difficulties a child might
have encountered at school.
- Children can exercise
and challenge their minds, even as they kick-back, play, and socialize
after a long day at school.
- Some
children prefer to relax with a good book, a computer program, or a little
quiet, solitary time. We give them space, time and materials to learn and
play in their own way.
- Children can
explore their world and themselves through plays, music and a variety of
collaborative building activities.
- Kidzone takes a
comprehensive approach to reading readiness that includes letter
recognition and phonics, plus many opportunities to experience the joy of
stories, books, poems and songs.
- Everyone can feel
like an artist here. Your child will find a treasure trove of arts and
craft supplies, and lots of encouragement, too. We also have ample
resources to aid curious minds as they explore their world and learn how
it works.
- School-age
children have lots of energy, even after a long day at school. So we spend
plenty of time in active play, both indoors and out. They have
access to our gymnasium, track, softball field, nature trails, theatre,
garden and volleyball courts!
e
introduce unique themes that are not usually explored in school, such
as "Gardening," and "Zoology." Then
we offer guidance and tools that help them explore the theme by creating
their own projects. Whatever your child
does during our afternoon of fun and educational activities, we'll keep
you in touch and well informed. At your convenience, we will be happy to
meet with you anytime to discuss your child's progress. We also encourage
you to visit the center anytime and to share your special talents and
skills with us.
- Learning self-control is
just a normal part of growing up, so Kidzone policy is never to embarrass
or ridicule a child when he or she misbehaves. Nor do we allow the use of
corporal or physical punishment. Instead, we use positive tactics that
strengthen self-esteem. Most situations can be handled by redirecting the
child to another, more appropriate activity.
Summer Programs
- Every summer, Kidzone provides summer programming with themes.
