1. Exercise:  There are all kinds of ways to exercise with your children.  Walking, biking, swimming, or playing at the park with your child are just a few examples.  Spend less time in front of the television and more time outside.
  2. Laughter:  Laughing really is the best medicine.  Children should be able to laugh freely, not worry about grown up problems.  Reassure them and take time to have fun with them.
  3. Eating Right:  Children learn from example.  What are you snacking on right now?  Carrot sticks or greasy potato chips?

  1. Safety:  When a child sees you buckle up the seat belt in the car, you teach your child to do the same.  Always explain why something is not safe on a child's level so that your child will understand that it is dangerous and can hurt them.
  2. Cleanliness:  Teaching a child how to keep clean is crucial to helping them stay healthy.  Always wash your hands after using the bathroom and brushing your teeth every day are two very important ways to stay clean and healthy.
  3. Sleep:  Getting enough rest is especially essential to kids, since most growth occurs during sleep.
